The straight-line test is how a body tech checks a repair: reflect a straight line across the panel and see whether it stays straight. Here is work that passes it.

Judge it on the panel

A repair is right when you cannot tell where it starts. Drag the handle and look along the panel, which is exactly how we check our own work before a car leaves.

Drag the handle, or use the arrow keys once it has focus.
